Elevator is a Cardiff brand consultancy run by its founder, strategist and creative director Steve Braham, who has been at this for more than 30 years. There is no big in-house team; he brings in a network of specialists per project, and promises clients a senior partner rather than juniors. The offer covers identity, positioning, tone of voice, packaging and brand activation, and the portfolio leans heavily on Welsh and UK food and drink.

Lizi's Granola is the long-running example: Elevator repositioned it around the founder's name, pushed the American word 'granola' over 'toasted muesli', and in 2006 put it in one of the first zip-lock pouches for cereal. Lizi's became the UK's second best-selling granola before being acquired. Caws Cenarth's cheese brand was refreshed across 23 SKUs with a drawing of the Teifi water wheel, and SamosaCo got the idea 'Food with Atma' for its supermarket range.

Food and drink producers, especially family firms and regional brands moving from farm shops and delis into supermarkets, will get packaging and identity from someone who has done that journey many times. Tata Steel and Halifax Card Plastics show some corporate work too. Companies needing enterprise UX, product design or a large digital build should go to a bigger studio; websites here come as one touchpoint among many.
