In short
Someoddpilot started as a record label in 1999 and is now an independent creative agency headquartered in Chicago’s Wicker Park, with an outpost in Los Angeles. In-house it covers brand strategy, rebrands, brand campaigns and product launches, with a partner network for production, development, media and PR.
Music got it started: it developed the Pitchfork Music brand, built sites for labels like Drag City and rebranded Lollapalooza around its ’90s roots with a system that stretches across four days and eight stages. It has been Patagonia’s marketing and advertising agency for nearly a decade, and its client list runs through Saucony, Chaco, Smith Optics, Darn Tough, FootJoy and Kimberly-Clark to a rebrand of the pet insurer Figo. The studio is senior-staffed, led by a team that has worked together for more than ten years, and still runs its own apparel brand, gallery and label.
Consumer, outdoor and culture brands that need a rebrand and the campaign to carry it will get the most out of it. Product UX and software builds are outside what it does.
